Bill Bronrott

DEPUTY ADMINISTRATOR, (FMCSA)

Bill Bronrott is the Deputy Administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) at the U.S. Department of Transportation.  He works closely with FMCSA Administrator Anne Ferro in leading a staff of 1,100 employees in all 50 states and in directing more than $300 million in federal grants to the states for commercial vehicle safety enforcement programs and activities. Bronrott has been a passionate advocate for highway and vehicle safety throughout his entire career. He has helped launch many safety initiatives including MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) in 1980. Since his appointment as Deputy Administrator, Bronrott has played a key role in overseeing the Agency’s educational outreach efforts to raise the safety bar and reduce bus and truck crashes, injuries and fatalities.
